Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
Nyman Associates seeks compassionate, self-directed, and organized individuals to support students with speech, language, and communication needs.
Position Summary:
As a school speech-language pathology assistant, you will work with students with communication disorders or difficulties, providing therapy services under the supervision of a licensed SLP to help them improve their communication skills.
You will collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to implement individualized treatment plans and support students in reaching their educational goals.
Responsibilities:
- Treatment of communication disorders with evidence-based best practices
- Data collection
- Therapy materials preparation
- Consultation and collaboration with other related service providers, teachers, and school team members
- Other duties assigned by supervising SLP
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited university with a B.A. or B.S. in communication disorders recognized by ASHA (Preferred)
- 30 completed credit hours in the program required
- ASHA SLPA certification (Preferred)
- State SLP License or in the process of applying for a License if applicable
