Global Corporate and Investment bank seeks VP Enterprise Valuations with 6 years experience performing valuations of corporate enterprises / companies in a leveraged lending or credit underwriting environment from a bank, rating agency, credit agency or similar financial institution, or due diligence transaction advisory experience valuing corporate enterprises – to lead, prepare, evaluate and summarize valuation results related to complex leveraged lending, M&A transactions and deal underwritings with focus on leveraged lending, for a visible and growing group within the bank. Must have strong technical valuation skillset in enterprise or corporate valuations, including strong understanding of financial statements and financial marketings, DCF analysis, transaction / historical pricing analysis, financial forecasts, and how capital markets price companies. The successful candidate will have strong financial modeling or underwriting experience related to corporate loans, with focus on leveraged lending, in depth knowledge of valuation techniques such as; Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), Comparable Company Analysis (CCA), Precedent Transactions Analysis (PTA), sensitivity/ scenario analysis, market multiple, and / or cost of capital - and ability to communicate complex financial insights to clients and senior bankers. This is a visible and lead role at the bank with strong growth, internal mobility and upside potential.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare valuation analysis and presentations for Leveraged Lending, M&A and Credit Groups.
- Update valuation models and templates related to financial modeling, underwriting and portfolio management – including discounted cash flow (DCF), peer group and precedent transaction multiples, and other valuation models.
- Apply valuation methodologies in line with bank valuation policy.
- Respond to internal and external auditor inquiries - coordinate valuation reviews.
- Create and develop presentation materials to effectively communicate results within leadership.
- Provide quality assurance and control for credit applications and/ or approval memos.
- Assist in the presentation of valuation results to various internal committees and external auditors.
- Work closely with Credit Groups to aid in the completion of new deal underwritings.
Requirements:
- Bachelors in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or similar discipline is required.
- Masters or MBA in Finance / Accounting / related, CFA or similar are preferred.
- 6 years of valuation experience in M&A investment banking or corporate banking / leveraged lending or direct lending / sponsor finance valuations.
- In depth knowledge and experience in valuation methods such as discounted cash flow DCF, market multiple, market transaction other evaluation methodologies
- Strong quantitative and technical abilities, including advanced financial modelling capabilities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
This role is hybrid with 4 days/ week in the midtown NY office.
