Nye Health Services is seeking a friendly and dependable Contract Beautician to provide hair services to residents approximately two times per month. This independent contractor opportunity offers the flexibility to select your own service dates and schedule appointments directly with residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional hair care services in a safe, respectful, and welcoming manner.
- Coordinate service dates and appointments based on resident interest and availability.
- Consult with residents regarding their preferences and desired services.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized work area.
- Follow all applicable cosmetology, infection-control, safety, and community guidelines.
- Maintain accurate service and payment records.
- Independently bill residents or their responsible parties for all services provided.
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, and team members.
Typical Services and Pricing
The current approximate price list includes:
- Shampoo and style: $17
- Haircut: $15
- Perm: $60
- Hair coloring: $65–$70
Final pricing and any additional services will be coordinated with the community.
Schedule
- Flexible, self-selected schedule
- Services are typically provided two times per month
- Dates and appointment times are coordinated with the community and participating residents
Qualifications
- Current cosmetology license in good standing
- Experience providing hair services to older adults preferred
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Dependable, professional, patient, and compassionate
- Ability to work independently and manage scheduling and billing
- Must meet all applicable independent contractor, insurance, health, and community requirements
