This role plays a critical part in ensuring continuity of care, resident comfort, and a positive experience for residents and their families.
Schedule
This position is designed to provide consistent weekend coverage.
A typical schedule may include:
- Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, or
- Saturday and Sunday (extended shifts)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct resident care including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility assistance
- Assist residents with meals, hydration, and activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Monitor and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team promptly
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with facility policies and state regulations
- Support a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
- Respond to call lights and resident needs in a timely and respectful manner
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, and team members
- Uphold and model the organization’s mission, vision, and values in daily interactions
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Nebraska
- Previous long-term care or healthcare experience preferred, but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable attendance, especially for weekend coverage
- Consistent weekend schedule with predictable hours
