This individual will support day-to-day nursing administrative operations for our 60-bed unit. The clinical secretary plays a key role in coordinating care-related services, supporting the clinical team, and maintaining smooth communication and organization across the unit.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform administrative duties such as data entry, supply ordering, and management of unit schedules.
- Coordinate and schedule patient transportation, lab services, and other external appointments.
- Support the admission, discharge, and transfer processes for residents.
- Assist with the maintenance and organization of medical records in accordance with policy and compliance standards.
- Maintain unit and campus databases, including scheduling tools, documentation systems, and communication platforms.
- Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, residents, and families.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, state and federal regulations, and facility protocols.
- Proactively step in to assist leadership with workflow management, problem-solving, and daily coordination.
- Successful completion of a state-approved Certified Nurse Aid Medication Aid course or willingness to obtain it within the first 6 months of employment.
- Prior experience working in a healthcare setting with familiarity in medical terminology and clinical processes.
- Strong leadership and communication skills and the ability to collaborate and work independently.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and step into leadership when needed.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, Outlook, and Teams); highly organized and tech-savvy.
- A proactive problem-solver who takes initiative.
- Calm under pressure with excellent time management.
