Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive dance curricula tailored to different age groups and skill levels.
- Teach dance classes focusing on technique, choreography, and performance skills across various styles such as ballet and theater.
- Manage classroom behavior to ensure a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment.
- Plan lessons that incorporate elements of childhood development, early childhood education, and behavior management strategies.
- Provide individualized tutoring or coaching to students needing extra support or advanced training.
- Incorporate creative activities such as photography or sewing into dance projects when appropriate to enhance artistic expression.
- Assist with event preparations, including choreography for performances or recitals.
- Maintain classroom organization and ensure all safety protocols are followed during classes.
- Engage with students’ families or caregivers regarding progress and upcoming events when necessary.
Skills
- Proven experience in teaching dance styles such as ballet, theater, or general dancing.
