2026 RCMS Summer School Program Administrator

Position:   One (1) Administrator for the RCMS Summer program.
 
Funding Source:  Grants Fund

When:  Dates: May 26 – Prep Day. May 27, 28, June 1-5, June 8-12, June 15-18: - Assist with moving materials, helping teachers set up classrooms, etc. Hours are 7:45 am to 12:15 pm. Students will attend 8:00 am - 12:00 pm.

Purpose: This summer programming aims to provide academic opportunities for students to earn credit, as well as academic enrichment and support activities beyond the regular academic year. The RCMS Summer Administrator will collaborate with the program                            administrators, teachers, program coordinator, paraprofessionals and the health aide. 
 
Qualifications:

1. Nevada Administrative/Teaching License (Administrative preferred);
2. Successful teaching/administrative experience with middle school students preferred;
3. Experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, and the blending of the courses together, preferred;
4. Ability to collect data and track progress;
5. The candidate demonstrates:
   • A high level of professional commitment to the NCSD and RCMS vision and areas of academic focus;
   • Leadership skills and the ability to work closely and cooperatively with other team members;
   • A strong insight and understanding of the needs of middle school students;
   • The ability to work collaboratively and communicate with diverse groups;
   • A belief that all students can learn along with the belief that teachers impact outcomes

Salary: $61.00 per hour
Performance Responsibilities:

• Work closely and cooperatively with other teachers in the program, the coordinator, and all RCMS administration to structure the best learning environment for all students;
• Assist teachers, paraprofessionals, health aide, and other staff in the classrooms during programming with access to a radio at all times;
• Review/sign time sheets and forward to SDO;
• Responsible for campus control & discipline and end-of-summer program checkout;
• Participate in and provide opportunities for collaborative decision-making within both the team and the school environments;
• Assist with the development and updates of any necessary communication between the team and the coordinator(s), students, and parents;
• Be flexible and work with a variety of curriculums not limited to: coding, construction with various materials, technology, and electronics, dissections, and other STEM-related PBL;
• Be able to assist with creating pre and post-tests aligned with standards to track student progress in the courses assigned to teachers;
• Assist with the supervision of students during nutrition times.
