FULL TIME - BUICK GMC TOYOTA FORD CDJR VW

Summary
Delivers and picks up parts and equipment for the dealership.

Essential Duties – job duties include but are not limited to the following tasks listed here.

• Picks up and delivers parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors.
• Checks with the parts manager, wholesale representative, inventory control administrator, parts counter people or shipping and receiving clerk before leaving to coordinate any last-minute pick-ups or deliveries.
• Maintain contact with the manager, the delivery center, and dispatch for updates, receiving instructions for further delivery and/or pickup instructions throughout the day.
• Checks with the body shop each day to determine immediate parts needs.
• Delivers parts to the body shop when needed and distributes to the appropriate body technicians.
• Verifies that the invoice matches the purchase order for each pick-up.
• Checks the payments received with the invoices for each delivery.
• Keeps an accurate log of daily deliveries and pick-ups. Requests the recipient's signature on each delivery entry.
• Unloads the truck each night. Turns in all paperwork and undelivered parts.
• Handles basic maintenance of the truck, including filling the tank with gas, checking oil, keeping it clean, and making sure required inspections are performed.
• Advises the parts manager if delivery trucks need major repairs and maintenance.
• Helps maintain the professional appearance of the parts department.
• Assists the service department as needed with attendant responsibilities of managing the drop-off and pick-up of customers' cars.
• Helps with stocking and posting orders when they arrive to expedite delivery to shop technicians and wholesale accounts.
• Maintains professional appearance.
• Performs other tasks based on management requirements and instructions.

Requirements:

• Must possess a clean, valid Driver’s License
• Excellent communication skills with coworkers and management.
• Customer service skills required with a friendly, positive attitude.
• Knowledge of computers and data entry skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Requires organizational skills and the ability to prioritize
• Trustworthy, Dependable, Responsible, Reliable
• Auto and mechanical knowledge a plus – preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Have good time management skills.
• Use and comply with all safety rules in all aspects of the position
• Ability to take direction from the Department Manager.
• Ability to work in a team and coordinate work functions.
• Must have a flexible schedule
• Must be able to be on your feet for prolonged periods of time.
• An applicant must be able to pass a drug test.
• Must be 18 years of age or older and be authorized to work in the U.S.

Job Details:

Job Type: Full-time Hourly

Pay: $16 per hour PLUS MONTHLY BONUS!

Schedule: 7 am - 4 pm

Workweek: Monday through Friday

Work Location: In person
