Nycom is looking for a Field Manager to join our team.
Job description:
The Field Manager is Nycom’s individual responsible for installation in its entirety for a specific geographic region. Typically, they will have several Field Engineers reporting to them to properly cover their region. The Field Manager will report to the Director of Installation.
Duties:
- Determine the readiness of the site for the installation of casework and ensure that Nycom installation teams will have the ability to install efficiently.
- Evaluate schedule progress and ensure adequate manpower.
- Inspect casework installations for quality and completeness.
- Attend project progress meetings.
- Installation layout.
- Coordinate deliveries of materials and inventory, and coordinate materials storage on site.
- Facilitate coordination on-site with project owners, general contractors, and other trades.
- Represent Nycom to the owner, GC, Architect, and client.
- Communicate in an accurate and timely fashion with all departments within Nycom, as well as with our clients.
- Perform Quality Control Inspections of Casework Installation. Enforce adherence to Nycom installation standards.
- Coordinate with Project Management, contract, and schedule installation subcontractors.
- Enforce safety policies and job site cleanup.
- Develop work completion lists and punchlists.
- Ensure proper and timely completion of installations.
- Oversee daily and weekly schedule activities.
- Responsible for subcontracting installation scopes of work
- Vet out new installation subcontractors for performance and quality
- Overall management of installation staff/subs in a given region

Requirements
Qualifications:
- Be ready to travel 50% of the time depending on territory assigned.
- Able to coordinate work with Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical trades.
- Have relevant experience in Division 10
- Minimum of 3 years work experience as a lead carpenter, foreman, or superintendent.
- Physically able to work in the field, at construction sites on a daily basis.
- Be self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Have good driving record, valid driver's license
- Skilled at reading and interpreting construction drawings and shop drawings.
- Be able to read and interpret construction schedules.
- Have solid knowledge of the construction industry, processes, and terminology.
- Be capable of writing detailed reports regarding construction site conditions and job progress.
- Have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Have solid computer skills.
- Be able to pass Pre Employment Physical and Drug Testing.
