What are the responsibilities and job description for the Claims Analyst (Hybrid) position at NYCM?
The Claims Analyst is a performance reporting role within the claim’s operations team. They are responsible for data gathering and reporting needs of claims division.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Refresh and maintain existing datasets used in report creation and reference for team and management (i.e., claim count datasets, LC breakdowns, claimant level, etc.).
- Run or make modifications to existing database queries against multiple warehouse or mainframe data sources.
- Verify accuracy of data pulled using established metrics and processes.
- Compile and prepare standard reports, graphs and charts for presentations, handouts, and display.
- Meet completion timeframes for scheduled reports.
- Create ad hoc reports from existing datasets based on divisional team needs.
- Collaborate and share knowledge with other claims analysts.
- Build on reporting skills as well as business acumen through internal and external coursework.
- Complete required professional development skills classes.
- Additional duties as required by supervisor.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding the information being processed, stored, or accessed.
- Participates in collaborative review of cross divisional data.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- 2 years of insurance reporting experience
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficient computer skills including MS Office Excel and other analytical software tools.
- Very good attention to detail and strong organization skills.
- Good written and oral communication skills across the company.
- Ability to provide and share brief summaries on standard reports.
- Ability and desire to learn new concepts, processes, and applications.
- Team player.
Market Range 6 / 37.5 hours per week / Hybrid
Salary: $44,438- $69,094
