What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Systems Analyst (Hybrid) position at NYCM Insurance?
The IT Systems Analyst (Hybrid) supports the on premises and cloud technology and level 2 & 3 end user requests. This individual will lead and participate in continuous process improvements for a high level of system performance and are responsible for implementing and supporting business critical platforms and/or applications to satisfy internal service level agreements. The IT Systems Analyst performs troubleshooting of reported and acknowledged system failures to ensure the long-term efficiency of systems and are generally self-directed with staff collaboration to ensure solutions are viable and consistent.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Implement, and maintain business-critical data center and hybrid cloud architecture.
- Implement, and maintain business-critical system and application environments including, but not limited to, server Operating System, SAN storage, and system security.
- Analyze and recommend upgrades and enhancements to existing infrastructure.
- Collaborate with business partners, security, and infrastructure teams to implement consistent technical solutions and support processes across the company.
- Work in close coordination with IT leadership and technical teams to manage and maintain proprietary and third-party software applications.
- Identify, analyze, and solve infrastructure, system, and application related issues.
- Assist IT management in developing and documenting internal departmental processes for IT governance.
- Advise and collaborate on development of policies and procedures associated with compliance and security in order to protect the enterprise.
- Perform system and security audits as required for compliance and regulatory mandates.
- Perform system backups and recovery processes in accordance with the company’s disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
- Evaluate and implement patches of system, server and/or applications in accordance with patch and vulnerability Management policy.
- Monitor, review, and test system performance in support of divisional KPI’s.
- Analyze system and application logs for performance or system issues.
- Perform routine and non-routine maintenance activities for infrastructure components.
- On-call support as assigned.
- Create and maintain documentation on system and infrastructure components.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalency
- Commensurate experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- Working knowledge of enterprise data center and/or cloud server and storage infrastructure technologies
Qualifications & Skills
- Working knowledge of data center and cloud infrastructure components.
- Good understanding of cloud IaaS and PaaS security design, staging and deployment standards and techniques.
- Good understanding of backup and recovery strategies and associated technologies.
- Strong planning, time management, and project management skills.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills with keen attention for detail.

Market Range: 10 / 37.5 hours per week / Hybrid - 2 Days in Office
Salary: $59,356 - $98,926
