Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with learning standards
- Foster a warm, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Utilize relevant technology and learning materials to support instruction
- Observe and assess student progress and development regularly
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and growth
- Communicate effectively with parents and participate in family engagement events
- Collaborate with fellow educators and participate in school-wide meetings and initiatives
- Uphold NYCMC’s educational and Islamic values throughout daily practice
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Education, Mathematics, Science or Technology
- Valid New York State Teaching Certification
- At least 2 years of classroom teaching experience
- Deep understanding of child development, curriculum design, and instructional strategies
- Strong interpersonal and classroom management skills
- Commitment to inclusive, culturally responsive, and faith-aligned education
- Passion for working in a values-driven, community-centered organization
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
