Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in research, investigations, or studies related to civil engineering functions or activities within NYCHA.
- Conduct field inspections to assess building conditions, identify necessary repairs, and document findings.
- Participate in surveys and inspections to ensure compliance with applicable building regulations, contract specifications, and engineering standards.
- Review reports from consultants, administrators, and tenant associations, providing technical input as needed.
- Assist in evaluating repair and maintenance orders, reviewing contractor work, and ensuring adherence to established engineering criteria.
- Support contract management by assisting in the solicitation of bids, overseeing awarded projects, and verifying completed work.
- Participate in monitoring the progress of construction, maintenance, and rehabilitation projects, ensuring work meets quality and compliance standards.
- Prepare reports on property conditions, project status, and engineering assessments.
- Perform calculations and assist in engineering analyses to support compliance initiatives.

CIVIL ENGINEERING INTERN - 20202
Minimum Qualifications
1. A baccalaureate degree in civil engineering from an accredited college. A degree in any other engineering area or in civil engineering technology is not acceptable.
