Job Description
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Ensures proper registration of all patients, functions and maintains patient flow and coordinate administrative and office operations in compliance with standards of quality care in the Adult Outpatient Psychiatric Clinic.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Supervises and trains clerical staff.
2. Schedules return visits for patients using EPIC; reschedules visits as needed.
3. Completing visit times in EPIC for all patient visits.
4. Contacts daily all missed appointments patients and reschedules visits.
5. Monitors activities in the patient waiting area.
6. Answers unit telephones and responds to requests for information or transfers calls to unit staff.
7. Completes visit cycles in EPIC; appropriately reviews and marks no shows in EPIC.
8. Maintains calendar of staff vacation and requested time off.
9. Delivers services in a culturally and linguistically appropriate manner.
10. Ensures a safe and infection free environment by adhering to Universal Precautions.
11. Follows service excellence standards of conduct and behavior: accountability, confidentiality, safety and etiquette.
Minimum Qualifications
1. A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and eighteen months of satisfactory clerical experience.
