What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ready Girl/Youth Presenter position at NYC Emergency Management?
NYC Emergency Management is seeking interested individuals to assist with conducting interactive presentations teaching children the importance of emergency preparedness.
We are seeking a female to assist with conducting these presentations as a presenter dressed up as Ready Girl, our program’s superhero character.
The selected applicant will receive the appropriate training, script, and all materials for the presentations.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct presentations throughout the five boroughs to children at: public/private schools, summer camps, after school programs, assemblies, workshops
- Assist with program evaluation and new character development
- Attend monthly meetings for program and agency updates and evaluation
Requirements:
- Availability weekday mornings
- Excellent verbal skills
- Good interpersonal skills
Special Skills Needed:
- Experience in the performing arts
- Articulate and highly motivated
- Experience working with children
- Interest in working with all communities within New York City
- Foreign language a plus, but not required

PLEASE REMEMBER: For 1 presentation you wil be paid $50.00.
Every additional presentation for the same day will be $25.00 each
Example: You have 2 presentations for March 5, 2050 --- your total pay for the day will be $75.00
