What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dog Walker/Pet Sitter position at NYC DOGCO?
NYCDOGCO has provided trusted dog walking and pet care since 2017. We're a dedicated team that treats every client's pet like family, and we're looking for a dependable, animal-loving professional to join us.
What You'll Do
- Walk dogs individually and in small groups on scheduled routes
- Provide pet sitting and in-home care visits
- Travel between client homes throughout the city on a set daily schedule
- Keep pets safe, exercised, fed, and happy
- Communicate visit updates with clients and the team by phone
Schedule
- 2 Positions: 10:00 AM – 6/7:00 PM & 2:30-6:00/7:00pm, with a 30–60 minute break
- Some weekend availability required
Requirements
- Previous professional experience caring for dogs or other animals(Not illegally breeding or caring for your own pet)
- Able to walk for long periods in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow)
- Comfortable handling multiple dogs at once
- Comfortable traveling from client to client throughout the day
- Familiar with getting around the city (public transit, walking routes, etc.)
- Active cell phone for scheduling and client communication
- Commitment to a minimum 8-month contract $2500 bonus upon extension.

- No drug use or smoking while on the job
- Call outs are scheduled. We have real clients that depend on us, so last minute cancellations are discouraged unless absolutely necessary.
