Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Math Teacher (9-12) at NYC DOE, located on in New York, NY. The Math Teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing lesson plans, teaching mathematics to students in grades 9-12, and assessing student progress. Additional tasks include preparing students for state exams, collaborating with other teachers and staff to ensure cohesive curriculum delivery, and participating in professional development activities.
Qualifications
- NYS Certified and experience in Mathematics Education
- Proficiency in developing and implementing Lesson Plans and Curriculum Development
- Strong knowledge of Mathematics concepts and instructional methods
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to inspire and motivate students
- Certification to teach in New York State is required
- Experience in teaching in an urban school environment is a plus
