Salary Range: $95,000–$105,000
NYC Disinfection Services is hiring a Procurement & Cost Control Manager to own material pricing, purchasing, vendor negotiations, and proposal cost accuracy. This role exists to protect margins and ensure every proposal reflects the real cost to execute the work.
This is not a warehouse or high-inventory role. We purchase repetitive materials and need disciplined oversight from pricing → purchasing → delivery → proposal review.
What You’ll Own
Procurement & Purchasing
- Source, price, and purchase all materials and supplies
- Negotiate pricing and terms with vendors
- Maintain vendor lists and material price benchmarks
- Track orders, deliveries, and resolve discrepancies
Cost Control & Pricing
- Maintain accurate unit pricing for recurring materials
- Track cost changes and update internal pricing
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
Proposal & Estimate Review
- Review all outgoing proposals for pricing accuracy
- Ensure material, labor, logistics, and overhead costs are properly reflected
- Flag underpriced or inaccurate estimates before submission
Inventory Oversight (Light)
- Monitor limited in-house inventory
- Prevent over-ordering and shortages
Process & Accountability
- Build repeatable procurement and pricing systems
- Coordinate with estimating, operations, and accounting
- Report on material spend, pricing accuracy, and savings
What We’re Looking For
- 3–7 years in procurement, purchasing, cost control, or estimating
- Construction, janitorial, facilities, or field services experience preferred
- Strong understanding of job costing and margins
- Comfortable challenging incorrect pricing
- Highly organized and detail-driven
- Proficient in Excel and/or QuickBooks
- In-office availability required
- Must have valid drivers license
