The New York City Housing Authority seeks a secretary to work with the Housing Quality Standards (HQS) Inspections Coordinator for the Public Housing Tenancy Operations Department. Under direct instruction of the HQS Inspections Coordinator, the secretary is responsible for supporting Property Management with Section 8 Program requirements. Minimum Qualifications
A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State’s Department of Education or a recognized accrediting organization?
Skills Requirement: You will be required to meet the typing skills requirement by demonstrating the ability to type accurately on a personal computer at a minimum speed of 35 words per minute after errors are deducted. You must meet this requirement in order to be appointed.

- Work with HQS Coordinator on tracking Section 8 work orders related to HQS.
- Assist with contacting Section 8 tenants regarding HQS Upcoming Inspections.
- Provide administrative support, including scheduling off site visits for HQS coordinator.
- Assist HQS Coordinator with off-site pre-inspection visits.
- Assist in uploading necessary documents into the systems, including the certified no-access letter to trigger retroactive subsidy reimbursement.
- Conduct timekeeping functions in Kronos.
- Process supply and training orders in Oracle.
- Provide clerical support for Mixed Finance Oversight Unit/Public Housing Tenancy Operations.
- Perform other secretarial duties as assigned.
- Due to the existence of a civil service list, candidates must have civil service status in the title of Secretary to apply.
