About Us
NYC Christmas Lights is a holiday lighting company serving homes and businesses throughout the New York metro area . We handle design, installation, maintenance, and off-season storage using commercial-grade lights with built-in light sensors.
About the Role
We're looking for reliable independent contractors to install holiday lighting displays this season. We provide the lights and the design plan. You bring the ladders, the skills, and the dependability.
What You'll Do
- Install holiday lighting on residential and commercial properties according to the design plan
- Work safely at heights on 30 to 40 foot ladders
- Handle occasional maintenance calls during the season (for example, replacing a bulb that's gone out)
- Return after the holidays to take displays down carefully so they can be stored for next year
Requirements
- You must own your own ladder(s), 30 to 40 feet
- Reliable vehicle that can transport your ladders
- Comfortable working at heights and outdoors
- Able to show up on time and complete every job you commit to
- Must sign an independent contractor and liability agreement before starting any work
- Lighting, roofing, gutter, painting, or other ladder work experience is a plus
Pay
- Typically $150 to $300 per installation depending on job size (roughly $40/hr)
- Takedowns at the end of the season are paid separately
