Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site teaching role located in Paterson, NJ, at the NYC Board of Education. The Teacher will be responsible for developing lesson plans that meet curriculum standards, delivering engaging and effective instruction, and assessing student progress. Additional responsibilities include fostering a positive learning environment, providing support to diverse learners, collaborating with colleagues, and engaging with parents and guardians to ensure the academic and social success of students.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Lesson Planning and creating dynamic, student-centered curricula that meet educational standards
- Strong skills in Teaching, Education, and training students to achieve academic excellence
- Effective Communication skills, including the ability to explain concepts clearly and work collaboratively with students, colleagues, and parents
- Demonstrated ability to inspire a love of learning and adapt teaching strategies for diverse learners
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant subject area (Master's preferred)
- Valid teaching certification and prior teaching experience are highly desirable
