Duties
- Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse.
- Perform order picking using pick techniques and assist with shipping and receiving tasks to ensure accurate inventory management.
- Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance on heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing stock, managing materials handling processes, and maintaining a clean work environment.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory levels, update shipment statuses, and document all movement of goods.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to coordinate load & unload schedules and optimize space utilization.
- Follow OSHA safety guidelines diligently during all operations to promote a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, or similar heavy equipment in a warehouse setting.
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control processes.
- Mechanical knowledge related to equipment repair and basic troubleshooting is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while adhering to safety standards such as OSHA regulations.
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments accurately.
- Prior warehouse experience involving order picking, shipping & receiving, or materials handling is preferred.
