Contractor/Expert - Knowledge of parks planning practice, outdoor recreation activity assessment, and municipal landscape — conducting field work, shaping the evaluation methodology, and validating findings.
• Ability to review and validate recreation activity inventories and data dictionaries against professional practice standards
• Skill in identifying and applying peer community comparisons for NRPA-based benchmarking
• Experience designing or contributing to structured field observation protocols for park activity data collection
• GIS literacy — ability to interpret spatial data, review mapping outputs, and contribute to service area analysis
• Familiarity with visitation and mobility data tools (e.g., Placer.ai, ESRI Park Analytics) as applied to park planning
• Ability to communicate technical park planning findings clearly to municipal agency staff
Strong facilitation skills for working sessions, site reviews, and stakeholder validation activities
