Affiliate Video & Tech Assistant

Description:

The Affiliate Video & Tech Assistant manages video and data collection, oversees travel logistics, and provides administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations for their assigned affiliate.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Chart games and manage video and data collection for their assigned affiliate.
- Assist with Major League and Minor League video and data collection during Spring Training.
- Coordinate break-camp travel and itineraries for players and staff going to their assigned affiliate.
- Manage affiliate travel logistics and administrative duties including bus schedules, flights, hotel reservations, etc.
- Troubleshoot technology issues with assistance from Video Coordinators and Baseball Systems staff.
- Collaborate with coaches and analysts to prepare advance scouting reports for each game.
- Capture and upload non-game video and data from bullpens, batting practice, defensive drills, etc.
- Oversee all high-speed video capture and upload processes for games and non-game events.
- Oversee TrackMan, Hawk-Eye, and KinaTrax operations and workflows at their assigned affiliate.
- Assist the Amateur, International, and Pro Scouting departments with miscellaneous needs.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience charting games with BATS is preferred.
- Previous experience in a professional baseball clubhouse is preferred.
- Previous experience with baseball technology such as TrackMan, Edgertronic cameras, KinaTrax, Hawk-Eye, Yakkertech, etc. is preferred.
- Deep understanding of baseball rules and how to score a baseball game.
- Ability to accurately identify pitch types.
- Availability to work long hours, including holidays and weekends.
- Ability to carry heavy equipment, climb stairs, and set up cameras throughout a stadium.
