Job Description
Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant – Radiology & Interventional Radiology
New York Health/Imaging | Patchogue, NY
Schedule: Monday-Friday
In This Role, You Will
- Supervise and monitor patients receiving radiology contrast, promptly assessing and addressing concerns or reactions.
- Conduct pre-procedure calls to review instructions, answer questions, and assess patient readiness.
- Follow up with patients after procedures to assess recovery, identify potential complications, and reinforce aftercare instructions.
- Assist with IV placement for imaging studies and procedures as needed.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, patient communication, procedure notes, and interventions.
- A master’s degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies.
- Active New York State licensure as an NP or PA and applicable national certification.
- Strong patient assessment, communication, and care coordination skills.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a procedural setting.
- Availability to work Monday through Friday, 11:00 AM–7:00 PM.
- The ability to assist with patient lifting, movement, and transfers and stand for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Salary: Up to 180,000 based on experience
