What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cooking Instructor position at NY Enrichment Group?
NY Enrichment Group is seeking several Cooking Instructors to lead cooking classes for our afterschool programs. Cooking Instructors must possess a high level of enthusiasm and exhibit professionalism and a strong commitment to the communities we serve. Must be comfortable teaching hands-on cooking while creating and following standardized recipes.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide a weekly classroom outline with the recipes
- Must be able to purchase ingredients for on site food demo (stipend provided for ingredients)
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1 year prior experience leading cooking classes
- Experience with community programs and with general nutrition education and cooking demos
- Proficient in use of Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Drive), MS Word, Zoom
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written skills
- The ideal candidate must be a self-starter
- Reports to VP of Operations
SCHEDULE, LOCATION
- Details vary by location.
- After school programming with K-12 students, Manhattan and outer boroughs.
- Programming takes place between the hours of 3pm and 6pm.

Pay: $80.00 - $90.00 per hour
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
- Recreational Arts Instructors: 1 year (Preferred)
