What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Equipment & Truck Mechanic position at NxTec?
Heavy Equipment / Diesel Technician
We're looking for a skilled Heavy Equipment / Diesel Technician who knows their way around a machine and isn't intimidated when the customer's description of the problem is:
“It made a noise, then it stopped moving.”
We work on heavy equipment, trucks, construction equipment, hydraulics, electrical systems, engines, and whatever other mechanical disaster someone manages to drag through the door.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- Heavy equipment or diesel repair experience
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
- Someone who can troubleshoot instead of firing up the parts cannon
- Able to work independently and actually figure things out
- Reliable and takes pride in their work
- Own basic hand tools
- Valid driver's license
- Common sense — surprisingly hard to put on a résumé, but we're looking for it
WHAT WE OFFER:
- Competitive pay based on experience
- Flexible schedule
- Paid time off
- Shop and field-service work
- Plenty of variety
- Opportunity to grow with NxTec
- No corporate nonsense or 14-person meetings about why the 10mm socket is missing
ABOUT THE BENEFITS:
We're a growing small business, so we don't offer health insurance or a 401(k) yet.
We're also not going to tell you that free coffee and being allowed to use the bathroom are “employee benefits.”
What we do offer is PTO, flexibility, a good working environment, interesting work, and a place where good employees are actually valued.
We're looking for someone who wants to grow with NxTec and take some pride in what they do.
If you're the person everyone calls after somebody else already tried fixing it, we should probably talk.
Send NxTec a message with your experience and a little about yourself.
Pay: $28.00 - $45.00 per hour
Benefits:
