Technical Lead, Unified Data Platform

Overview

We are building a new data platform organization from scratch to unify a fragmented landscape of vertical data systems across the enterprise. This platform will support governance, analytics, internal data products, and future AI-native applications. The Technical Lead will play a pivotal role in helping shape the team, technical direction, and execution model across both foundational platform engineering and higher-level data solutions.

This role is ideal for a hands-on technical leader who can operate across architecture, platform design, team enablement, and execution. You should be comfortable moving between lower-level data infrastructure and higher-level solution thinking, while helping engineers stay aligned to a cohesive platform strategy.

What You’ll Do

• Provide hands-on technical leadership across the unified data platform initiative
• Help define architecture, engineering standards, and technical direction across platform and solutions teams
• Partner with leadership to translate the platform vision into execution plans and priorities
• Guide the buildout of a scalable, governed, AI-ready platform across multiple business entities
• Support engineers across platform, data solutions, and AI-native application workstreams
• Make pragmatic decisions that balance speed, flexibility, and long-term architecture
• Help create a strong engineering culture centered on ownership, collaboration, and growth

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience leading complex technical initiatives in data, platform, or backend-heavy environments
• Hands-on expertise with modern data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, and related systems
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or similar languages
• Experience spanning architecture, platform design, and cross-functional solution delivery
• Ability to lead in ambiguous, fast-evolving environments
• Strong mentorship and communication skills
• Demonstrated ownership mindset and ability to bring clarity to greenfield work
