Company Description
NX Automotive Logistics (NXAL) Operations Departments functions within a dynamic warehouse or manufacturing environment, where associates may encounter moderate levels of dust, dirt, and odors generated by packaging materials and propane-powered forklifts. Additionally, ambient noise from production equipment is a common aspect of the workplace. Temperature conditions fluctuate throughout the year. Associates are frequently required to operate computers, scanners, read, write, and engage in direct communication—both in person and through various digital and telecommunication platforms.
1st Shift Forklift Operator/Warehouse Associate
NX Automotive Logistics is looking for production/warehouse associates to join our team!
Forklift Operator/ Warehouse Associate Roles and Responsibilities:
- Operate Powered Industrial Vehicles, including forklifts, pallet jacks, etc., to fulfill business/customer needs.
- Safely operate forklifts to load and unload trucks, trailers, and storage areas.
- Transport containers and materials to designated locations within the warehouse.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by scanning, labeling, and placing products in the proper bin location.
- Load, unload and ship inventory items according to the production schedule and supplier specifications.
- Report any problems or concerns immediately to leadership.
- Report any suggestions for improvements on a process to improve quality/safety within the job.
- Ability to rotate across various processes, including inbound, outbound, and wheel trays, on a structured weekly rotation to optimize efficiency, enhance adaptability, and ensure seamless workflow operations.
- Maintain working knowledge of production systems and perform various tasks within the system.
- Follow all proper Standard Operating Procedures.
- Follow 6s standards and keep a clean and safe working environment in specified areas/departments.
- All Production/WH associates must wear all proper Personal Protective Equipment.
- May require overtime, weekends, and shift flexibility based on business needs.
- Have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, squat, stand, walk, twist, and bend consistently for 10 hours or more and in varying temperatures.
Production/ Warehouse Associate Qualifications:
- Ability to gain knowledge of warehousing and transportation functions.
- Demonstrate a safety-first attitude following all company safety policies.
- Ability to work with others, displaying a good-natured, cooperative attitude.
- Possess traits of reliability and dependability.
- Ability to effectively communicate both written and orally.
- PIV equipment experience is preferred.
- Ability to be trained and learn job processes in a timely manner.
- Ability to learn computer applications and use scanners in order to meet business/customer demands/requirements.
