What are the responsibilities and job description for the Welder position at NWL, Inc.?
- Welds a variety of fabricated parts, structural steel and related materials in accordance with established engineering and manufacturing specifications to produce commercial weldments within reasonable and/or expected time frames.
- Accurately sets and maintains MIG welding machines to required heat and amperage.
- Cuts, forms, deburs, punches, and shears a variety of metal materials.
- Sets up and operates all required manually controlled fabrication machinery and hand operated tools.
- Regularly lift/move up to 25 pounds; frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds.
- Uses overhead crane and moving equipment from pallet jack through forklift.
- Able to read tape measure and perform basic math
- Must be familiar with blueprints
- Must be able to continuously produce a leak proof product
- Able to use pallet jack, forklift, and overhead crane
- Reliable transportation a must
- High level attention to detail
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Strict adherence to attendance policy required
