Job Title: Accountant
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, reliable and detail-oriented Accountant to manage our general ledger and ensure accuracy in reporting for multiple companies. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting overall financial operations. This role is essential in maintaining accurate financial data and helping leadership make informed business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with financial close including journal entries for accruals and reclassifications and correcting entries.
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare, examine, and analyze financial records, statements, and reports for accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Support audits by preparing documentation and providing necessary information.
- Provide insights and recommendations for improving financial processes and efficiency.
- Maintain confidentiality and safeguard financial information.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as an accountant or in a similar financial role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks Enterprise a plus) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and organizational abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members and clients.
