What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Manager position at NWI Defense?
NWI Defense is seeking a General Manager to lead our precision machining and forging business located in Albany, OR.
With over 60 years of specializing in adding value to refractory metals NWI Defense has historically focused on forging and machining shaped charge liners from molybdenum and copper for use in defense applications. We also have a long history of forging and machining other exotic metals in a large variety of industries. Over the past 3 years, in response to a slowdown in demand for shaped charge liners, NWI Defense has invested over $4 Million dollars to modernize and upgrade its machining capabilities to serve one of its sister companies with complex machined specialty steel components for the aerospace and nuclear industries. As we look forward, we see an uptick in shaped charge liner demand on the horizon and we are now positioned to grow in both that traditional market as well as the new machining markets for both nuclear and aerospace. We expect the business to exceed $10 Million in 2026 revenues with a path to double over the next 3 years.
