What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Planner position at NWH?
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Create weekly maintenance schedules in collaborations with site leadership
- Lead weekly maintenance meetings
- Print or email all open work orders for sites
- Check for any reactive work orders
- Close all completed work orders and review technician notes.
- Keep maintenance/site managers up to date on past due work orders
- Create job tasks in MPulse
- Create PM’s
- Review downtime data and create new scheduled maintenance based on maintenance and machine history. Update downtime data as needed
- Check with supervisor or Maintenance lead about parts supplies and update MPulse
- Assist in training maintenance on how and why we do work orders
- Have a good understanding of the difference between preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance
- Build out and keep up to date work centers in MPulse, based on section and parts maintained
- Demonstrate understanding of work centers and part names
- Understand lockout tagout and maintenance processes to better understand the functioning of work orders
- Track site maintenance and safety metrics
- Assist other team members as needed
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must possess skills, knowledge, and experience in the field of maintenance.
- Experience with maintenance management software is a plus
Competencies:
- Must follow all established safety policies. Must have good safety record and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Be adaptable, work where needed as required
- Must be able to work overtime, weekends, holidays as required and in all conditions.
- Capable of completing required documentation
- Able to work as a team, get along with team members; give and take advice and criticism from other team members
- Strong computer and communication skills
Physical Requirements

- While performing the duties of this Job, the team member is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
- This job may require the following equipment when in the field eye protection, hearing protection, leather/rubber gloves, safety shoes, sleeve protection, safety vest, and a hard hat.
