Overview:
Join our dedicated team as a Direct Support Professional providing compassionate, personalized care to a specific 61-year-old male client in the Milwaukee, OR area. This vital role focuses on promoting the independence, safety, and well-being of this individual. You will empower this client to thrive in a supportive home and community environment by assisting with daily activities, monitoring health, and supporting community engagement.
Duties:
- Assist client with some Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): organizing, cleaning, keeping tidy, bottle collecting and grocery shopping.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through routine cleaning tasks.
- Document all care activities thoroughly and collaborate with case manager and NW’s Client Services Coordinator
- Provide emotional support and companionship.
Qualifications:
- Experience supporting the elderly (60 ) highly desirable.
- Must be willing to work with a smoker
- Strong observational skills and knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or overnight hours as needed.
