Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Laser Component Cleaning Technician to join a precision manufacturing team. This position plays an important role in maintaining the cleanliness, quality, and performance of sensitive laser and optical components.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, highly attentive to detail, and committed to following established procedures and maintaining rigorous quality standards in a controlled manufacturing environment.

Essential Job Duties

• Perform precision cleaning of laser and optical components using approved solvents, tools, and cleaning techniques.
• Inspect components for contamination, defects, damage, or other nonconformities and report issues appropriately.
• Follow detailed work instructions, cleaning procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality requirements.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, including performing routine maintenance and calibration checks.
• Collaborate with assembly, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure components meet established cleanliness and quality specifications.
• Accurately document cleaning activities, inspection results, equipment maintenance, and related production records.
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on cleaning efficiency, quality, and process consistency.
• Monitor cleaning supplies and communicate inventory replenishment needs as necessary.

Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification is a plus.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in manufacturing, cleanroom operations, assembly, precision cleaning, or a related environment.
• Experience working with cleaning tools, solvents, and precision handling techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to safely handle delicate components.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow technical instructions, drawings, and SOPs.
• Familiarity with cleanroom practices and contamination-control standards preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and data entry.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Willingness and flexibility to work overtime as needed.
