Full time

We are looking for a Senior Manager, Business Operations to lead operations in a complex event marketing organization. This high-velocity role requires an individual contributor who can bring structure, rigor, and speed to a large global events portfolio. You will turn a constant stream of priorities, budgets, and cross-functional requests into clear, actionable plans.

This role serves as the core operator for the events group. They are responsible for careful budget portfolio management, developing processes and tools that assist the event marketing team in consistent task planning and completion, and giving leadership a clear, updated picture of performance, spending, and risk. Are you hard-working, dedicated, and determined? If so, we want to hear from you!

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead the operating rhythm for the Global Events & Experiences organization, including budget reviews, planning cycles, and executive reporting cadences.
  • . Track costs and spending against forecasts. Identify gaps and opportunities. Drive budget accountability among event owners.
  • Build and maintain the operational infrastructure (tools, processes, templates, reporting) that supports the team of event marketers in planning and implementing projects at scale and with consistency.
  • Evaluate the events team's tooling and tech stack, including event management, budget tracking, and reporting platforms. Streamline and consolidate these tools where possible. Ensure the team has the right systems to knowledge share and work efficiently.
  • Represent the events organization in cross-functional planning alongside business unit partners — integrating discussions into actionable plans and ensuring steady progress.
  • Develop and be responsible for a regular reporting cadence on event metrics, budget performance, and portfolio health for executive leadership.
  • Identify and remove process bottlenecks and inefficiencies that slow the organization down; propose and drive process improvements that scale with the growing event portfolio.
  • Spearhead ambiguous or high-priority operational initiatives that fall outside standard event execution — incubating them until they're ready to hand off to a permanent owner.

What We Need To See

  • 12 years of overall experience, with at least 5 years of Management experience. This includes substantial time in business operations, program or portfolio management, or a similar operational role. Experience in events, marketing, or a related field is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field, or equivalent experience. MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated ownership of large, multi-million dollar budgets or portfolios, with a track record of managing costs, forecasting, and driving financial accountability.
  • Experience building or scaling operational processes, tools, and reporting structures for a growing team or organization.
  • Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, ambiguous, high-growth environment, handling multiple concurrent priorities with grace.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex, cross-functional information into clear executive-ready narratives and reporting.
  • A master collaborator who can influence without authority, build trust quickly, and align diverse collaborators around a shared plan.

Ways To Stand Out From The Crowd

  • Prior experience in an events, field marketing, or brand organization, with an understanding of event lifecycle, production, and vendor ecosystems.
  • Background as a business operations lead, program manager, or chief of staff supporting a senior marketing or events executive.
  • Experience standing up budget tracking systems, event tech stacks, or operational playbooks from scratch, and evaluating/consolidating tools to reduce redundancy and cost.
  • An obsession with operational build — someone who sees process as a way to free up the team's creativity and speed, not slow it down.
  • Experience with virtual, hybrid, and large-scale in-person event formats and their outstanding cost/operational models.

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 168,000 USD - 264,500 USD.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.

Applications for this job will be accepted at least until July 27, 2026.
