Primary Objective Of Position

To set up, adjust, maintain and efficiently operate automation guided: robotic press

Major Areas Of Accountability

  • Operates automated machines and hydraulic press brake machines.
  • Positions production materials and tooling and maintains proper dimensions according to specifications.
  • Operates various equipment, including controllers, and programs according to production documentation.
  • Meets established performance standards to ensure production schedules are met.
  • Complies with all applicable safety procedures and reports unsafe conditions or potential safety hazards to team leader or appropriate resource.
  • Ensures that products meet CADDY quality standards.
  • Inspects work to ensure proper dimensional requirements are met
  • Assists Maintenance and outside sources with trouble-shooting systems.
  • Takes action and notifies appropriate resource when problems arise concerning equipment, operations, materials, etc.
  • Participates actively as a team member through continuous improvement activities to meet customer needs.
  • Maintains a clean, safe and organized work area.
  • May be required to perform additional duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of all operations of the assigned production process required
  • Knowledge of safety policies and procedures, and ability to promote compliance with them.
  • Fork truck licensed or ability to obtain one.
  • Ability to lift, slide and shake heavy gauges of material.
  • Ability to read and use measuring equipment (i.e. tape measure, caliper)
  • Ability to identify and support continuous improvement efforts with the Production Supervisor.
  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing business circumstance and have the ability to thrive in a constantly changing business environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT:

Vision: Must be able to meet vision requirements as outlined by standard occupational guidelines

Lifting: Up to 50 lbs

Pushing: Job requires pushing production materials and wheeled carts

Sitting: Seldom as required by the process

Standing: Frequently as required by the process

Climbing: Seldom as required by the process

Kneeling: Occasionally as required by the process

Coaching/stooping: Occasionally as required by the process

Full Use: Job requires full range of upper extremities in the manipulation of materials used in the production processes

Simultaneous: Operating machinery and positioning production materials requiring a high degree of mental awareness and concentration

Communication: Job requires both written and oral skills in communicating with others and receiving instruction

Other: Repetitive motion with upper body; fine manipulation – using fingers to push keys

    Pay Transparency

    nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

    Compensation Range

    $14.80 - $27.50 Per Hour

    Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
