Manufacturing Engineer

What You Will Experience In This Position

• Plan and perform a variety of duties involved in design, development, and continuous improvement of production machinery, equipment and facilities.
• Develop and implement plans for cost reduction and plant efficiency improvements.
• As a project leader, develop a complete project plan including resources, costs, benefits and schedule; assume full responsibility for all aspects of the project to ensure it meets goals and schedule; communicate project status to partners as appropriate; and follow up to ensure project results are sustained.
• Using lean tools, social skills and leadership abilities, lead and facilitate kaizen activities
• Lead and support capital expenditure requests and implementations using basic cost justification and business management principles.
• Support the completion of equipment and facility enhancements to promote safety, quality, and cost/service improvements by developing tooling, fixtures, gauging, instructional aids, improved layouts, etc.
• Advise and assist maintenance personnel in solving equipment problems and machine repairs.
• Develop standardized work and revisions to it based upon continuous improvement initiatives.
  
  

You Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering required.
• 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment within engineering preferred
• Experience in programs such as AutoCAD, Solid Works, etc.
• Experience in initiating and guiding Lean Manufacturing and ongoing improvement initiatives; preferred
