What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinarian position at NVA?
Description & Requirements
Anamosa Veterinary Clinic is looking for an Associate Veterinarian to join our team! Open to Mixed or Small Animal only!
The Anamosa Veterinary Clinic is located in rural Iowa but is approximately 25 minutes from the Cedar Rapids metropolis. This allows us to provide an array of livestock calls and to support an ever-growing need for small animal appointment services. Our practice is broken down into about 20% large animal and 80% small animal. You would have the opportunity to break your day into a mixture of large and small animal appointments, surgery, and drop off appointments. We offer emergency services but this work load is split between 8 veterinarians. All experience levels welcome to apply. Will consider small, large, or mixed animal. On top of offering mixed animal appointments our practice offers the following services:
- Orthopedic surgeries such as TPLOs, lateral sutures, luxating patellas, pinning and plating
- Diagnostic Ultrasounds
- Laser therapy
- Digital and dental x-rays
- Surgical laser procedures
- Bovine embryo transfer
- Canine reproduction
- Appointments in our haul-in livestock facility
Our ideal candidate would thrive in a fast-paced, productive environment, seeking to efficiently provide quality care at a cost effective price for patients. Our appointments are quick-paced and candidates that thrive under this environment have a large earning potential. Our culture aims to make the client and their pets come first. Taking care of the client will in the long run take care of our staff and business. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package including health insurance, paid time off, and a 401K plan.
