Description & Requirements
We are seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our growing team at Marbletown Animal Hospital. This role is ideal for an experienced technician who is confident in surgery, anesthesia, and emergency/urgent care triage. We are also open to training a motivated candidate with a strong foundation, a passion for learning, and a desire for professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform emergency and urgent care triage
- Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical and soft tissue procedures
- Support emergency and routine surgical procedures
- Perform dental procedures, including dental radiographs, scaling, and polishing
- Place IV catheters, collect blood samples, and perform in-house diagnostics
- Provide high-quality patient care, restraint, and nursing support
- Maintain accurate medical records using proper veterinary terminology
- Support, train, and mentor veterinary assistants and fellow technicians
- Collaborate closely with doctors and hospital leadership
Qualifications:
- Current New York Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) required
- Experience in anesthesia and surgery preferred
- Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced emergency/urgent care environment
- Compassionate, detail-oriented, and committed to high-quality medicine
Work Hours:
- Full-time position
- Must be available for one Saturday per month
- Hospital hours:
- Monday & Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Wednesday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Compensation & Benefits:
