Value Vet in Urbandale, IA is seeking an experienced veterinary professional to join our growing TEAM!
We are proud of our beautiful, modern hospital, with 9 doctors providing comprehensive, progressive treatment plans to our furry friends. Value Vet offers the experience of a full-service veterinarian with walk-in clinic convenience and fair prices. Our team is dedicated to making high quality care accessible to all pet owners in our community.
We are looking for a competent and dependable Pet Care Coordinator to help with client-patient relations. The ideal candidate will be a hard-working & dependable professional able to undertake a variety of office support tasks and work diligently under pressure. This person will be comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail and discretion as well as incorporating new and effective ways to achieve better results.
Responsibilities & Skills
· Provides friendly, excellent and expeditious client experience; warmly greets clients, responds to questions; processes incoming and outgoing patients, and handles payments.
· Answers phone calls, which may involve answering questions, screening for service needs, and scheduling surgery appointments.
· Handles incoming and outgoing mail and e-mail.
· Monitors client waiting area to ensure cleanliness.
· Documents and maintains client information, service data and other pertinent information within practice management software.
· Escalates complex matters to senior staff.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
· Minimum of 1 year medical or veterinary experience required.

Salary range based on experience: $16.00 - $21.00 / hour
