Key Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during surgical procedures (soft tissue, orthopedic, dental, etc.)
- Monitor anesthesia and patient vitals to ensure safety throughout procedures
- Prepare surgical suites and maintain sterile fields
- Provide pre- and post-operative patient care, including monitoring and recovery
- Accurately complete surgical monitoring forms and patient medical records
- Educate pet owners on post-surgical care instructions and medications
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a clinical and surgical veterinary setting
- Hands-on surgical and anesthesia experience
- Strong knowledge of anesthesia protocols and monitoring equipment
- Proficient in CPR, intubation, ECG and pulse oximetry interpretation
- Experience with emergency drug administration and blood draws
- Excellent communication, critical-thinking, and teamwork skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and calm in high-pressure situations
