What You'll Do
As a Veterinary Assistant, you'll play an essential role in supporting our veterinarians and technicians by:
- Assisting with patient restraint and handling
- Preparing exam rooms and treatment areas
- Supporting laboratory testing and diagnostics
- Assisting during procedures and surgeries
- Providing compassionate care to hospitalized patients
- Educating and communicating with pet owners
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient hospital environment
- Veterinary Assistant experience of two or more years
- Passion for caring for dogs and cats
- Positive, team-oriented attitude
- Self-motivated and eager to learn
- Dependable, adaptable, and ready to jump in where needed
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A desire to contribute to a supportive, collaborative culture
- Full-time position
- Typically, three 12-hour shifts per week
- Occasionally three full days plus one half day
- Rotating weekend schedule
- $16.00–$18.00/hour, based on experience
