As a vital part of our medical team, you will assist with a wide range of clinical and patient care duties, including:
- Assisting in patient exams, treatments, and surgical procedures
- Monitoring and caring for hospitalized patients
- Restraint and handling for exams, blood draws, and procedures
- Performing in-house diagnostics (radiographs, bloodwork, fecal analysis)
- Administering medications under veterinary supervision
- Maintaining cleanliness and sterilization of surgical instruments and exam areas
- Providing compassionate client communication and education
- At least one year of experience as a veterinary assistant
- Passionate about animal care and dedicated to maintaining a high standard of patient care
- Team-oriented and adaptable, with excellent communication skills
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Flexible shifts with a minimum of one Saturday per month
- Hospital Hours:
- Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 8 AM - 6 PM
- Tuesday, Thursday: 8 AM - 7 PM
- Saturday: 8 AM - 2 PM
- Closed daily for lunch from 1 PM - 2 PM
