What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinarian position at NVA General Practice?
Perry Hall Animal Hospital located in Perry Hall, MD, is seeking to add a 4th veterinarian to join our practice. Our mission is to provide outstanding healthcare to our patients and excellent client experience in a collaborative, team-centric setting. Our focus lies in maintaining a work/life and family balance to create an enjoyable, productive, and healthy environment.
We are an appointment only small animal practice, all sick and wellness appointments are 30 minutes, consult/second opinion appointments are 60 minutes. We see urgent/same day emergent appointments on a limited, case by case basis that you decide. Critical patients are referred to the local emergency clinic for overnight care and there is no after-hours on call or emergency duty.
We have fun! We do potlucks, crafting activities, and off-site social events. Your day-to-day will include appointments and/or surgical/dental procedures, but we'll work with you to create a schedule that fits your preference.
Our team of highly skilled technicians, including 4 heavily experienced RVTs, will give you the freedom to practice with full support. The majority of our technicians have been with us for over 7 years.
Our Hospital Is Equipped With
We also work with nonprofits such as: Guiding Eyes for the Blind, Pitties and Purrs Rescue, Animal Allies Rescue Foundation, Saving Grace Animal Rescue, LovePaws Rescue, and the Baltimore Humane Society.

Compensation
Qualifications
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university. Licensure in good standing to practice in Maryland.
- $25,000 signing bonus*

- Comprehensive in-house laboratory / Partnership with IDEXX Reference Laboratory
- Digital radiology with imaging consultation availability
- Mindray ultrasound machine and access to traveling veterinary ultrasound service
- Dedicated surgical suite with isoflurane anesthesia, up to date monitoring equipment and electrocautery
- Dental unit with two high speed handpieces, digital dental radiography for all patients in our dedicated dental suite
- Onsite heska lacuna cytology/blood smear analyzer
- Companion laser therapy

Compensation
- Base salary of $120,000 - $160,000
- Production-based bonuses
