About The Opportunity
- Combination of general practice caseload (scheduled wellness visits, sick/injured appointments, and surgeries/dentals) as well as a limited quota of same-day-sick visits shared daily among the doctoral team
- “Flex Hour” daily on weekdays as a buffer that is free from scheduled appointments – this helps ensure lunch is eaten, the workload remains contained within reasonable working hours, and that nursing mothers can be confident they will have time to tend to their needs
- Access to several local emergency hospitals/specialty practices for case transfer, discussion, and guidance
- Full-time preferred, part-time considered

- 2 day shifts 8a-3p (one of these to be surgical/dental)
- 2 evening shifts 12p-8p (one with on-call overnight for any previously admitted pets)
- 2 day shifts 8a-3p (one of these to be surgical/dental)
- 1 evening shift 12p-8p (with on-call overnight for any previously admitted pets)
- Saturday 9a-3p
- Roughly one Sunday every 6 weeks on-call for any pets already in the hospital- we do not admit any cases into the hospital outside of normal business hours, so being on-call only applies to previously admitted pets
- Rotating and randomly assigned holiday on-call for any previously admitted pets
- Schedules are predictable and posted 3 months in advance to help with planning for vacation, personal appointments, or other time off; holiday on-call assignments are provided at the end of the summer for the next calendar year
- Eight exam rooms equipped individually with computer, vaccine refrigerators, and supplies
- Separate dedicated room for hospital/surgical/dental discharges
- Two full surgery suites with anesthesia monitoring equipment
- Dental suite with digital dental radiography and ultrasonic scaling/handpiece machine
- Pharmacy- Rx options include in-hospital, an online pharmacy, or as a written Rx for owners to submit elsewhere
- Isolation Ward
- ICU with separate, quieter area for feline or more nervous patients
- CO2 Cutting Laser
- Digital Radiography with cloud-based image storage
- Ultrasound machine with cloud-based image storage
- IDEXX in-house laboratory equipment
- Dedicated “room technicians” to facilitate gathering medical history/intake, assistance during the visit, and in-room invoicing/payment
- Paper-light practice utilizing conventional phone and electronic communication methods (text, email)
- Shared DVM office for effortless collaboration and case review
- Spacious, well-lit waiting room for clients with separate area for feline patients
- Open concept treatment area with adjacent pre-operative alcove
- Boarding area with access to dedicated playroom, kitchen, and bathing room
- $115,000 - $140,000 base salary, varying with experience
