The Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Veterinary Technician to join our growing team. This role offers the opportunity to work hands-on with horses in both hospital and ambulatory settings. You’ll be directly involved in patient care, assist with advanced diagnostics and treatments, and contribute to a clean, safe, and organized hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with appointments, procedures, and treatments (in-hospital and on-farm).
- Monitor and care for hospitalized patients.
- Safely handle and restrain horses of varying ages and temperaments.
- Maintain accurate medical records and support effective client communication.
- Ensure proper cleaning, biosecurity, and restocking of equipment and supplies.
- Credentialed Veterinary Technician (LVT/RVT/CVT) preferred; experienced veterinary assistants considered.
- Strong horsemanship skills, including safe handling, restraint, and recognition of common equine conditions.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and client service skills.
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
