Responsibilities
NV5 Engineers and Consultants, Inc., is seeking a Roadway Group Manager based out of our Cary, NC office. This position will manage the transportation (roadway design) staff and projects for our Charlotte and Cary, NC offices. The Group Manager will also ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget and of the highest quality while maintaining positive client relationships. The most frequent and essential work activities include:
- Establish, maintain and monitor schedules, budgets and staffing for projects.
- Mentor and train employees.
- Responsible for creating and executing business plans for the group.
- Responsible for marketing NV5 to NCDOT, Charlotte DOT, local municipalities and other potential clients to obtain new contracts.
- Participate in professional associations and societies.
- Work with Southeast Transportation Director to achieve department goals.
- Complete other assignments as determined by the SE Transportation Director.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- North Carolina PE license, or ability to obtain within 3 months
- Minimum of 15 years experience in transportation engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of previous management experience or 10 years of project management experience
- Minimum of 5 years with business development within the transportation market
- Previous NC DOT project experience, local municipalities or other state DOT.
- Experience in managing projects and leading project teams
- Knowledge of MicroStation and OpenRoads software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid driver’s license prior to employment
