The position is located at Robins Air Force Base, Warner Robins, GA. The technician must be self-motivated with exceptional planning, critical thinking, analytical and communication skills. The technician must work well in a team environment and be self-motivated.
This job is a full-time, onsite position. Due to federal contract requirements, the candidate must be a US Citizen and capable of attaining required security clearance.

Responsibilities
- Maintain knowledge on current safety procedures including OSHA regulations and Robins Base safety
- Operate machinery (aerial lift, work truck) on busy roadways and around large structures
- Take detailed and accurate notes on roof conditions using a data collection device
- Utilize GPS technologies (survey, resource, or mapping grade precision requirements shall be specified in the task order), traditional land surveying technologies (e.g., Total Station), remote sensing technologies (e.g., Range Finders) or other data collection technologies
- Experience with Trimble surveying equipment and ArcGIS Field Maps a plus
- Follow quality control procedures to ensure a high degree of data consistency, integrity, and accuracy
- Work closely with two co-workers in a team-oriented environment
- Discuss plans and coordinate with proper personnel
- Provide updates on the current progress of the roof inspections to appropriate personnel
Minimum Qualifications:
- One year of experience using Esri ArcGIS collection equipment
- Experience using an aerial lift
- Valid Drivers License
- Excellent communication, team-work, and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with web-based mapping applications
- U.S. Citizenship required to comply with government contracts
- Able to obtain a DOD security clearance
- Bachelors Degree in Geography, GIS, or related field.
- 1 year or more collecting roofing data
