Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise construction sites, ensuring adherence to project plans, schematics, and safety protocols such as OSHA standards.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or other construction management software to track progress and deadlines.
- Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment, including heavy machinery like Ohmmeters for electrical testing when necessary.
- Oversee subcontractor performance and supervise onsite teams to ensure quality control, safety compliance, and timely execution of tasks.
- Read blueprints and schematics accurately to guide construction activities and troubleshoot issues proactively.
- Utilize tools such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Construction estimating software like HeavyBid, and other management systems to streamline communication and documentation.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential risks or delays in pipeline or other infrastructure projects, and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Ensure all work complies with local building codes, environmental regulations, and company safety policies.
- Facilitate project meetings with stakeholders to review progress, address challenges, and update schedules or budgets as needed.
Experience
- Proven experience managing large-scale construction projects in a supervisory or project management capacity.
- Extensive knowledge of construction management practices including project scheduling, budgeting, contract administration, and quality assurance.
- Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings with precision.
- Hands-on experience with construction site operations across various environments such as pipelines or heavy civil projects.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety protocols essential for maintaining a safe work environment.
- Proficiency in construction management software including Primavera P6, ProCore, Bluebeam Revu, HeavyBid or equivalent tools.
- Supervising experience leading diverse teams of tradespeople and subcontractors effectively while fostering collaboration.
- Strong understanding of construction estimating processes and contract negotiations.
